As a member of SCEAD Foundation, I organize an event by myself for the first time.  The event is Global Village which is an event for foreign students to introduce their countries’ cultures.  When I arrived in India, I had thought what to do for SCEAD Foundation.  Three weeks later, an idea occurred to me, to organize global village.  Through teaching Japanese culture students in government school, I found foreign study is important for student in terms of bring up their diversity feeling.  However some schools SCEAD get involved in don’t understand how important it is.  I wanted to change it and make more children study more foreign cultures.
SCEAD Foundation has some foreign volunteer students and AIESEC I belong to also have many foreign students.  So I took advantage of this and tried to get involved in many foreign students.
When I tried to start global village, I didn’t feel it is easy to carry out this event.  I got foreign students’ information from AIESEC, and sent to about forty students but there were few people to help me.  Most of them were going to travel on Saturday so just one girl from Kenya told me she cooperated.

I managed to gather people helping me, projector, and school I could do global village.  In this event, Korean, Greece, Kenya  Japanese  and Indian scead volunteers student participated and introduced our cultures.  I introduced SHUJI which is a class how beautiful we write symbol.  Greece girl introduced her country’s food.  Korean and Kenya girls introduced their culture as a whole.  About one hundred students visited this event, and they looked excited very much.  It made me relief.  I thought this event gives many positive impact children for sure.
I am going back to Japan tomorrow, but I want SCEAD keep this event and improve situation of education.

June/July 2013 Even though only one week has passed since I arrived in Bangalore, I can tell that my experience in SCEAD Foundation is and will be incredible. Everything in SCEAD is about children. Accordingly, all of my activities are focused on children and their progress and prosperity. It is a great pleasure to work with children and young boys and girls and impart my knowledge and skills to them. I teach them Ballet, History, Geography, English and Public Speaking. Their huge interest and happy faces compensate all the culture shocks I have had in India. In the next few weeks, I will also work in orphanages through the Foundation, and I am really looking forward to that experience. I hope that this experience will help me love better, for love is the most important thing in our lives. As Mother Teresa said  - "It is not how much we do, it is how much love we put in that action". Not only am I a teacher to these children, they are also teachers to me. They taugh...
