PLANTING A SAPLING AT ST. JOSEPHS UNIVERSITY

The Italian consul general and the Indian environmentalist Padma Shree Saalumarada thimaaka recently visited St. Joseph's University to plant saplings and engage in an interactive session with the students. The event was a great success, with the consul general and the environmentalist sharing their knowledge and experiences with the students. The students were thrilled to have the opportunity to learn from such distinguished guests, and they were eager to ask questions and engage in discussions about environmental issues. The planting of the saplings was a symbolic gesture of the importance of preserving our planet, and it was a great way to inspire the students to take action and make a positive impact on the environment. Overall, it was a wonderful event that left a lasting impression on everyone involved.

In collaboration with the student council of St. Joseph's College of Commerce working on the Peace project.The Peace project is a program dedicated to Hiroshima-Nagasaki day on 9th of August to remember the tragic effect of nuclear weapon. It’s a speech of peace all over the world provided by our volunteers and dignitaries. Also we will be organizing a signature campaign on this day in which the students will be signing in support of this campaign.

June/July 2013 Even though only one week has passed since I arrived in Bangalore, I can tell that my experience in SCEAD Foundation is and will be incredible. Everything in SCEAD is about children. Accordingly, all of my activities are focused on children and their progress and prosperity. It is a great pleasure to work with children and young boys and girls and impart my knowledge and skills to them. I teach them Ballet, History, Geography, English and Public Speaking. Their huge interest and happy faces compensate all the culture shocks I have had in India. In the next few weeks, I will also work in orphanages through the Foundation, and I am really looking forward to that experience. I hope that this experience will help me love better, for love is the most important thing in our lives. As Mother Teresa said - "It is not how much we do, it is how much love we put in that action".
