Campaign Against Smoking

Event – Stop smoking campaigning (Dum Maroo Dum)
Time 7:00 am  to 9:00 AM
Venue – MG Road (Mahatma Gandhi Statue) BANGALORE INDIA




 



















Dum Maroo Dum – Stop Smoking event was been conducted by Red FM 93.3 supported by Idea and Jayadev Institute.. This campaigning was been led by JD (Jagadeesh). Head of Congress Mr.  Krishna Byre Gowda inaugurated the Campaign. RJ’s Divya, Pradeep, Lucky, and Sujata were part of this Campaign. There were totally 100 people who participated in Dum Maroo Dum.  Dollu Kunitha (Folk dance of Karnataka) Troup danced and participated in Campaigning.  Campaign started from Mahatma Gandhi statue to Brigade Road. Scead  had a small street play at the end – Yama (God of death) will take you away if you smoke more 




SCEAD Foundation participated in this event (Siju Daniel , Jyothi M C Nikhil Jha and other volunteers   Dum Marroo Dum”, “Nimma Life yestte idru namma preethi aagolla Kamm”) Siju Danilel and Jyothi were been interviewed by RJ Lucky  on AIR, we got an opportunity to explore about SCEAD foundation on AIR like, what dose SCEAD do?  What are our Goals?  We were along with people on campaign till Brigade road
 


At last Siju Daniel had staged a theatre play   against smoking . 
By this event we could reach to people to know about SCEAD foundation, interact  with lots of people. We could also reach people by making them aware how dose smoking effect to their life and what is the loss they have and their family have.

Also we will be organizing a signature campaign on this day in which the students will be signing in support of this campaign.

June/July 2013 Even though only one week has passed since I arrived in Bangalore, I can tell that my experience in SCEAD Foundation is and will be incredible. Everything in SCEAD is about children. Accordingly, all of my activities are focused on children and their progress and prosperity. It is a great pleasure to work with children and young boys and girls and impart my knowledge and skills to them. I teach them Ballet, History, Geography, English and Public Speaking. Their huge interest and happy faces compensate all the culture shocks I have had in India. In the next few weeks, I will also work in orphanages through the Foundation, and I am really looking forward to that experience. I hope that this experience will help me love better, for love is the most important thing in our lives. As Mother Teresa said  - "It is not how much we do, it is how much love we put in that action". Not only am I a teacher to these children, they are also teachers to me. They taugh...
