Support an Orphan

SCEAD Foundation has adopted St. Gasper's Children House, which is home to many orphans. In order to educate and provide for these orphans, the home is in need of funds. Adopting an orphan will go a long way in helping them and improving their lives by giving them the gift of education.

Listed below are details of a few orphans who need support to continue their education. If you are interested in adopting an orphan, write to us at sceadfoundation@gmail.com for more information.

1. AJAY ANTONY

Ajay came to St. Gasper's 2 years ago (at the age of 12). His mother Prabha died when he was 3, and he lived with his father until the age of 7. He is an only child. After his father was sentenced to 12 years in prison, he started living with his relatives, but his life with them was very miserable (3 of his uncles are in prison as well). Eventually he came in St. Gasper's in 2011, and he enjoys it very much. The best thing about St. Gasper's is, he says, his Mum Bridgite and his Auntie Isabel.

Ajay is an excellent student (97% on tests) and his favourite subject is English. He would like to become both cricket player and IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer, and would like to go to the University in Bangalore. His hobbies are playing indoor games, reading stories (fairy tales, autobiographies) and cricket. He currently performs the duty of education minister in St. Gasper's school.
