For the tribal communities living around Bandipur, livestock is more than an economic asset—it is a source of food security, income, and family well-being. Many tribal families depend on cattle, goats, and other livestock for their daily survival and livelihood. Grazing and cattle rearing continue to be an important part of life for communities such as the Jenu Kuruba, Soliga, and Betta Kuruba living near the Bandipur forest landscape. SCEAD Foundation India is com mitted to supporting tribal families by promoting livestock health, veterinary care, awareness on animal welfare, and sustainable livelihood opportunities. Healthy livestock means stronger families, improved nutrition for children, and greater economic resilience for rural households.
