Nobody could offer compensation to the dead for the sacrifice of their lives.  If this is the case, we should work to protect those who might be called on to make this kind of unjust sacrifice.  All kind of armed conflicts has to be stopped, now!  For whom are we doing this?  We are united at this moment through this event. We who are born in the same generation have been born to a duty of making world peace a reality.  Let's walk together for peace! 👬👭 It is up to us to leave a legacy of peace to our descendants. ✏ Registration form for "Walk for Peace" 1. Today we were assigned to go to CMR Institute of Technology. and T JOHN COLLEGE  We had a task to get 500 signatures by the students who supported the Peace Treaty signed in Seoul, South Korea. These signatures signified the support of the Indian youth regarding the world peace and saying a no to war. The work  was not an easy job as getting 500 signatures meant talking and interacting with 500 students; but we really enjoyed doing it. Sarina was another volunteer studying in CMRIT who helped us throughout. Though we couldn’t get the permission to go inside classes, we were still able to reach our target on time. The students of CMRIT AND T JOHN  were very friendly and cooperated very well. Altogether today was a great and a successful day. FEBRUARY 1ST 2018  The day we entered the slum, we actually got to now that a totally different world exists. The kids are the future of our country and a lot of them above 5 years don’t actually know what a school is. Talking to them made us know that they are scared to go to schools, they are scared of the beatings.  Kids are hardwired that if anyone comes to interact to them , it’s for the purpose to fetch them to schools and hostels. We decided to built a good rapport with them. We engaged students with art n craft, football, kabbadi. They are very enthusiastic and have willingness to learn. They are restricted because of their parents. They want to support their families financially by going out to work. They are unaware of the bad world outside. Talking to them made us realise how we can actually make them understand the importance of education and in our little way give back to the society. my experience as Volunteer January 27th 2018

We went in without knowing what to expect as students from the organisation but in the end as we left we definetly felt we had an enriching experience. It was most definitely a humbling experience walking through the slums that were situated near the organisation and interacting with the children and adults alike. t he children that don't attend the school named Patel's school were gathered around us and we taught them songs and games. Upon asking them why they didn't go to school most of them told us they weren't interested and so we then spent the day teaching them what they would learn at school like rhymes and the parents also looked over us so they too would learn how useful it is to send a child to school and thus persuade the children to attend school. Overall it was a thrilling and educational experience and we thank the organisation for sending us for this visit. Divya Denny   January 27th 2018 T
